Rieju Uk was formed in 2007 and hence it's not really very surprising that Rieju is not a household name within the UK, yet !! but watch this space, we already have an extensive network of approved dealers and are growing all the time.
However in Europe, make no mistake, Rieju is one of the best known names in the motorbike community.
Rieju is a Spanish company which was formed in 1934 and named after a fusion of the founders names (luis RIEra carre & jamie JUanola farres) and has developed from small scale manufacture of bicycle components to producing over 20,000 motorbikes a year from factories covering over 135,000 square feet and with a dealership network extending over 20 countries with over 800 official dealers

| Today Rieju stands alone as the only motorbike manufacturer which is still truly 100% Spanish, employs over 150 people and has a reputation for the production of high quality machines and hence can name Yamaha and Minarelli as its engine suppliers, along with other top European brands such as Marzocchi, Sachs, Gas Gas, Sherco, Galfer, Domino and many more leading companies which supply our production lines. | |

1942 Salvador Dali's father witnesses the paperwork which creates a Limited Company with 1m Pesetas share capital
Soon after Rieju creates its first "Marathon" Bicycle, the name will become an icon in Spanish motorcycle history, winning many championships and living on today in the Marathon MRT range, as used by Ride A Trail.
1947 Rieju creates its first motorbike, with 38cc 4 stroke engine directly attached to the rear wheel |

1953 The first 100% Rieju Motorbike, a 175cc engine with front telescopic forks and rear shock absorbers and black and gold livery. Rieju's engineers were able to extract increase fuel efficiency from the AMC 4t engine, and coupled with the lightness & ease of ride, over the years from 1953 to 1965 around 9,000 were sold, Rieju began to be established in the Spanish motorcycle market.
